The square bottom of this bowl is woven upside down to create the pattern of an eight-point star quilt block.  The bowl is then woven from the inside in a twill (going over more than one spokes at a time) in a circular motion to create the spiral design.  The colors are navy, cranberry, and medium green with a navy border.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  Basket is finished with clear tung oil to enhance the beauty of the reed.
