A contradiction in terms, this Cherokee-inspired basket combines a pattern that resembles Bargello needlepoint with the colors reminiscent of an Amish quilt.  Combining different widths of reed creates the wavy illusion, while rich colors of deep red, teal, grass green, and purple on a background of black mirror the traditional Amish quilt.  The reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  The basket is finished with clear tung oil.
