This intricate basket is woven using one continuous navy weaver, rather than a separate weaver for each row.  The weaving pattern, along with the number of spokes (many!), creates the specific spiral pattern. This basket features the traditional Shaker cat's head bottom.  It is finished with a light walnut tung oil stain to enhance the beauty of the reed.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.
