This unusual flat basket is a replica of a traditional Chocktaw basket.  Although its original usage is not known, it is suitable for hanging on a wall, holding mail, keys, or other items that need to be kept handy.  This basket is a combination of black and natural reed.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  The basket is finished with a walnut tung oil stain.
