The square bottom of this bowl in navy, sea foam green, and cranberry is woven upside down to create the pattern of an eight-point star quilt block.  The bowl is then woven from the inside in a twill (going over more than one spokes at a time) in a circular motion to create the spiral design. It is finished with an oak tung oil stain.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.
