This very large floor basket's unique design is formed by means of a twill weave -- meaning that there are two layers of reed covering the basket.  This makes this basket incredibly strong and durable.  The diagonal lines are made of wide dark brown and narrow natural reed.  The top portion is composed of rows and rows of very narrow round reed weaving.  The basket is finished with a light walnut tung oil stain.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.
