This wicker basket is made almost completely with round, rather than flat reed.  A wicker basket is one that uses round rather than flat stakes.  The round stakes are then woven into a sturdy rim.  On this basket, the stakes are dark brown, as is the woven rim.  The lattice design is formed by using three weavers at once -- two round reeds atop deep terra cotta reed.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  This basket has a light oak tung oil stain finish.
