This complex design features a base that forms the pattern of a traditional quilt block.  The same pattern is repeated on each of the four sides.  The basket is woven from brown, deep terra cotta, and natural reed.  Reed us hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  The rim is attached with brown waxed linen, and the basket is finished with clear tung oil to enhance the beauty of the reed.
