This oval basket is woven with strips of deep red and green variegated reed, with wicker work at the top and bottom.  The bowed handle shapes the basket which gets larger at the top.  A braided wicker border finished the top of the basket.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  This basket is finished with walnut tung oil.
