This unusual flat basket is a replica of a traditional Chocktaw basket.   Although its original usage is not known, it is suitable for hanging on a wall, holding keys, mail, and other items that need to be kept handy.  The colored reed is a very dark charcoal gray.  Reed is hand-dyed and may fade if exposed to direct sunlight.  Basket is stained with walnut tung oil.
